Loan Servicing Specialist

Description

The Equity Loan Servicing role will provide various daily functions as required by the business, with focus on tasks relating to securing collateral in threat of Tax sale activities The position requires the application of various complex methods, procedures and knowledge of the business unit's product(s) and application(s). The position requires routine decision making without consulting supervisor and the ability to prioritize.

The Loan Servicing Specialist ensures work adheres to regulations and ensures compliance to departmental policies, risk avoidance standards and SLAs. The completion of multiple daily functions in an accurate and timely fashion, using advanced analytical skills is required. The incumbent may work independently on special projects often interacting with all levels of management, serving as a resource of the business unit. The incumbent is capable of solving problems in assigned areas and may research routine customer, brand, or bank inquiries as appropriate.

Primary responsibilities include:
  • Processing & reconciliation of incoming workflows
  • Risk awareness
  • Communication with predetermined localities
  • Delivering written customer communication in a timely manner
  • Serving as a subject matter expert on trained functions


Qualifications

Required Skills/Experience:

  • Product knowledge including home equity lines of credit, and tax procedures
  • Previous operations experience
  • Superior customer service skills
  • Analytical work ethic
  • Proficient skill in the Microsoft office suite applications

Preferred Skills/Experience:

  • ALS Operating Platform

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
