As a Walk-In Customer Service Representative, you will be responsible for assisting HealthSource RI customers and families gain access to health care services.
This position will facilitate the application, enrollment, and plan selection process of state insurance plans.
We are seeking individuals to provide support services for our clients who seek assistance in our East Providence office.
This position may be asked to provide similar services over the phone in our call center.
Qualifications for the position include:
Knowledge of Medicaid or related state insurance is a plus.
Team player with excellent communication skills.
A high degree of emotional maturity and the ability to maintain a level of courtesy and professional decorum in adverse circumstances.
Basic counseling skills including the ability to listen without judging, empathizing with the client, and being able to respond appropriately.
Interpersonal and communication skills to develop and maintain effective working relationships with all internal and external customers.
Customer focused with a passion for making a difference in our community.
Strong PC proficiency.
Ability to handle high walk-in volume in a fast-paced environment.
Maintain confidentiality of personal health information.
Detail-oriented, fast learner.
Bilingual skills (i.
e.
, Spanish) strongly preferred.
American Sign Language (ASL) skills strongly preferred.
Ability to take on additional duties when necessary.
